Senior P&C actuarial leadership role (Principal & Consulting Actuary) based in Farmington, CT with flexible remote options. You will lead predictive modeling strategy, run client engagements across personal and commercial lines, and expand MCA’s actuarial practice while reporting to the Chief Actuary. Responsibilities include predictive modeling, pricing studies, reserve reviews, and building internal capabilities.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead predictive modeling strategy and client engagements for P&C insurers
- Work on pricing studies, reserve reviews, trend analyses, and segmentation
- Build out MCA’s actuarial practice and internal analytics capabilities
- Hybrid if local to CT; fully remote candidates are also welcome
- Report directly to the Chief Actuary; travel approximately 5–10%
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- P&C actuarial or analytical experience
- Predictive modeling in personal and commercial lines
- Pricing studies and rate indications
- Reserve reviews and trend analysis
- Data intake and manipulation for modeling
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years in actuarial or analytical P&C insurance roles
- FCAS or ACAS required
- Experience with predictive modeling across personal and commercial lines
- Familiarity with SQL, R, Python, Power BI, or Tableau
- Ability to lead client engagements and present technical recommendations
