Senior U.S.-remote Life actuarial role focused on mortality analytics, assumption setting, experience studies, and product performance for individual life protection. You’ll develop and refine mortality models, support pricing, forecasting, and reporting, and advise Product, Finance, Underwriting, Data Science, senior leaders, and external partners. Salary is $150,000-$266,000 plus potential bonus and equity.
Requirements
Must have
At least 5 years of life insurance actuarial experience
Strongly preferred
FSA designation or near-FSA status (ASA considered)
Strong experience translating leading indicators into mortality assumptions
Demonstrated experience setting actuarial assumptions for life insurance pricing, forecasting, or valuation
Strong understanding of mortality modeling, experience analysis, underwriting impacts, and product performance
Proven ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Underwriting, and Data Science
Strong statistical modeling capabilities using R or Python
Familiarity with SQL, dbt, Snowflake, or comparable data tools
Proficiency with Excel and actuarial modeling tools
Strong analytical judgment and ability to tackle ambiguous problems independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for non-actuarial audiences
Comfortable in a technology-driven, fast-paced environment
