Associate-level P&C pricing role in Hippo’s Program Actuarial team, reporting to the Director, Program Actuary. You’ll price multi-line third-party programs, build monitoring and governance frameworks, support reinsurance placement, and advise underwriting and risk decisions. The hybrid role is based in San Jose, Austin, Dallas, or Morristown, with a listed salary of $115,000-$155,000.

Requirements

Must have

  • Willingness to relocate to San Jose, CA, Austin, TX, Dallas, TX, or Morristown, NJ

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field
  • ACAS designation with robust pricing experience
  • 4-7 years of actuarial experience with broad exposure to pricing across multiple lines
  • Experience operating with limited experience data and using industry benchmarks
  • Demonstrated success in applying tools, frameworks, and best practices for pricing excellence
  • Ability to clearly communicate actuarial concepts to executive stakeholders, underwriting teams, and external partners
  • Actively supported team collaboration and development
  • Proficiency with Excel, SQL, and AI tools

Nice to have

  • Casualty pricing experience
  • Prior program experience
