Senior life actuarial role on Pacific Life’s Enterprise Actuarial Modeling team focused on Prophet model operations. You will own production model testing, governance, integration and defect resolution while partnering with IT, valuation, pricing and developers. Hybrid role based in Newport Beach, CA (four days in office) with relocation required if not local.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Maintain and test valuation and production models in Prophet Enterprise
- Execute model merges, library/system upgrades and master model changes
- Troubleshoot model defects and support UAT and model validation
- Hybrid role — 4 days in office (Newport Beach, CA; Omaha, NE; or Toronto, Canada)
- Senior position requiring FSA and 6+ years actuarial experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Model development in Prophet Professional and Prophet Enterprise
- Production valuation and model implementation testing
- Model governance, integration and defect resolution
- UAT support, model merges and library/system upgrades
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA designation required
- 6+ years of actuarial experience
- 4+ years developing models in Prophet Professional and Prophet Enterprise
- Proficiency coding in Python, VBA, and SQL
- Willingness to relocate to Newport Beach, Omaha, or Toronto (office-based)
