Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to a pricing/underwriting partner than a modelling-heavy IC because it carries filing strategy and stakeholder approval, not just model production.

Manager-level P&C pricing role for a countrywide travel insurance portfolio in San Diego, with a hybrid 2-3 days in-office pattern. You’ll lead multi-state ratemaking, GLM modeling, rate filings, and pricing-tool development while partnering with Product Development, Underwriting, regulators, and senior leadership.

Requirements

Must have

Minimum of 7 years of actuarial experience
Strong expertise in GLM modeling
Hands-on experience with Python, R, Emblem, Akur8, or other actuarial modeling/statistical software
Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required
ACAS or FCAS in good standing

Strongly preferred

Demonstrated success independently managing large, complex actuarial analyses and regulatory filing projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly reliable and detail-oriented
Bachelor's degree in mathematics, actuarial science, economics, finance or similar

Nice to have

Experience with data visualization tools preferred
