Closer to regulatory compliance than a live underwriting partnership role because success is defined by filing strategy, regulator responses, and statutory submissions.
Associate P&C regulatory filing role in Allianz Commercial’s Technical Pricing Certification team, based in Chicago with hybrid working. You’ll support commercial lines pricing, rate filings, actuarial memoranda, regulatory inquiries, and filing strategy while partnering with business areas and mentoring junior colleagues. The role offers a $130,000-$170,000 base salary plus performance-based incentives.
Requirements
Must have
- ACAS or FCAS designation, or progress toward CAS accreditation
- 3+ years of US actuarial pricing experience
- At least 3 years of experience with standard commercial lines rate filings in states with complex actuarial and regulatory requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without need for sponsorship
Strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics or related field, or equivalent experience
- Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects
- Extensive computer skills including MS Office, VBA, Matlab, R, SQL, Java
- Ability to identify patterns and root causes in complex data
- Ability to initiate actions to remediate issues and follow through
- Ability to anticipate and resolve issues before they transpire
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to persuade and motivate others without direct authority
Nice to have
- Experience applying artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve business processes
