Aon is looking for a Reinsurance Actuarial Managing Director

Preferred Locations: Chicago IL or Bloomington, MN-- Not Required

The role is for an individual with a strong analytics background who is familiar with reinsurance pricing, stochastic modeling and capital allocation. Candidates will help broker teams achieve successful reinsurance placements optimizing outcomes for clients. Candidates can also articulate cost-benefit trade-offs to decision makers to help ensure goals are achieved. Positive outcomes are highly correlated with strong teamwork.

Responsbilities:
  • Manage multiple client specific deliverables related to reinsurance renewals and other special projects.
  • Organize and prepare effective communications for submissions and proposals.
  • Deliver client presentations and represent Aon as a speaker at client and industry events where appropriate.
  • Provide advocacy in technical negotiations with third parties and provide other expertise to support colleagues.
  • Work with brokers to develop innovations to existing risk transfer products or new products.
  • Support efforts to prospect new business, including:
    • Conducting various analyses of prospect companies using public data
    • Researching any known issues publicly disclosed in press releases, earnings calls, investor presentations, etc.
    • Generating relevant peer or industry studies
    • Developing targeted content to address identified client/prospect needs
  • Embrace Aon United by collaborating with colleagues outside of the reinsurance group where appropriate.
  • Support management leadership and comply with Company policies and procedures. Candidates must lead by example.
  • Manage junior staff workload and oversee junior staff career development.
  • Ensure all employees on team meet internal compliance and guidelines.
  • Ensure all employees on team are fully engaged and exceeding expectations by checking in with employees regularly and flagging potential problems
  • Maintain working relationships with all levels in the organization (peers, management, other departments and offices) by having regular dialog with counterparts throughout the organization to exchange ideas.

Preferred ACAS or FCAS Credentialed

Experience Required:
  1. Proficiency in programming R/Python/C/Java
  2. 12 years of ReinsuranceActuarial Experience

The salary range for this position intended for U.S. applicants is $195,000-$245,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
