What the day will look like

This role is for a hands-on individual with a strong analytics background, ideally in finance, re/insurance or consulting. The individual will work in Aon reinsurance's credit and specialty analytics team to deliver value added reinsurance solutions to our clients. Your work will support both established and emerging solution lines, including credit and political risk (CPR) and bank credit risk transfer (CRT) re/insurance deal placements, as well as other traditional casualty client projects, working in a collaborative environment with other Aon colleagues. You will also perform market research and industry studies.

Associate Directors are expected to be proficient in standard analyses, while also providing thought leadership and creating more advanced analyses as needed. You will become familiar with Aon's tools and approach, contribute to our client's development and present Aon's solutions and services to our clients.

Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Strong proficiency in R, Python (or similar programming language), and MS Office suite, particularly Excel/VBA and PowerPoint
  • Credit and political risk modeling or other specialty analytics experience preferred, but we are also open to candidates with strong analytics background from other finance fields or consulting experience
  • Strong ability to understand and perform mathematical and statistical calculations
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems, think creatively, strategically, and analytically
  • Ability to work independently and in team environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • 5+ Actuarial Exams passed, or an advanced degree in a related field, or CFA, or 3+ years of related working experience
  • Financial modeling, credit default analytics experience in a consulting, reinsurance or pricing environment preferred
  • Dynamic cashflow analysis, return attribution, Economic Capital modeling or financial valuation experience are a plus

Education: Minimum requirement is Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Finance, Math, Computer Science, or other related degrees.

The salary range for this position is $118,000 to $158,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
