Responsibilities include ratemaking, reserving, predictive modeling, and large-account pricing while partnering with underwriting, claims, finance and data teams. Senior individual contributor reporting to an Actuarial Manager or Director, with expectation to participate in an Actuarial Leadership Development Program and ongoing exam progress.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Develop rates and perform annual ratemaking reviews for P&C products
- Support reserve reviews and reserving analysis with the chief actuary
- Build predictive models and perform ad-hoc pricing analyses
- Remote role reporting to Actuarial Manager or Director, Actuarial Services
- Ideal for seniors with 3+ exams and 4+ years P&C experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Property & Casualty insurance experience
- Medical professional liability experience
- Ratemaking and rate filings
- Reserving and reserve reviews
- Predictive modeling and large-account pricing
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ actuarial exams passed
- 4+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience
- Bachelor's degree (preferably Actuarial Science, Math, or Statistics)
- 3 years' experience with SQL, Excel, and/or R
- Commitment to pass one or more actuarial exams per year
