Remote for applicants in WA, OR, or CA; role reports to the Senior Manager, Actuarial Analytics and is based in Portland, OR.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead rate development and regulatory filings for ACA individual and small-group lines
- Analyze financial performance, risk adjustment, trend, and actuarial value
- Require strong SQL query skills and data-focused project management
- 100% remote eligible for residents of Washington, Oregon, or California
- Senior individual-contributor role reporting to Senior Manager, Actuarial Analytics
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- ACA individual and small-group market pricing
- rate development and regulatory filings
- risk adjustment and actuarial value analysis
- trend and rate adequacy analysis
- experience working with health plan data
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (required)
- Successful completion of 4+ SOA exams toward ASA
- 5 years of healthcare actuarial experience
- Proficiency writing queries in SQL or another programming language
- Demonstrated project management experience in data/financial projects
