OVERVIEW

Alera Group is looking for a Senior Actuarial Analyst. We are seeking highly motivated colleagues who bring experience and enthusiasm to our team - joining us may be the perfect fit for you!

We are passionate about our clients' success in the areas of Employee Benefits, Property and Casualty Insurance, Retirement Plan Services, and Wealth Services. With a network of offices nationwide, our commitment to collaboration allows us to offer national resources combined with local service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop captive insurance programs and actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
  • Create premium rates, claim projections, and financial forecasts for various employee benefit programs.
  • Prepare actuarial reports, documentation, and client-facing presentations.
  • Maintain and improve technical capabilities and automate existing actuarial processes.
  • Collaborate on team projects, new business proposals, and client deliverables.
  • Support special projects and contribute to firm-wide initiatives as needed.
  • Attend at least one annual in-person meeting in Boston with Spring staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Solid understanding of employee benefits including medical, Rx, stop-loss, life, and disability programs.
  • Progress toward actuarial credentials (SoA/CAS), with at least two exams passed in the last two years.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for modeling and documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective at multitasking, meeting deadlines, and conducting technical research.
  • 3+ years of relevant actuarial experience and Substantial Progress toward an Actuarial credential

This job is fully remote.

Salary range is $90K to 120K per year.
