You will prepare state rate filings, perform ISO circular rate impact analyses, and deliver pricing strategy and market insights using Python, SQL, VBA and AI/visualization tools.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Automate ratemaking and state rate filings for commercial lines
- Analyze profitability and loss trends, and ISO circular impacts
- Use Python, SQL and Excel VBA; integrate AI and PowerBI visualizations
- Predominantly remote with required NYC office presence every Wednesday
- Senior-level role requiring 5 passed actuarial exams and 4+ years' experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- State rate filings for commercial lines
- ISO circular rate impact analysis
- Profitability and loss trends analyses
- Commercial Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation and Commercial Auto experience
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 4 years of professional actuarial experience
- At least 5 passed actuarial exams; working toward ACAS or FCAS
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and Excel VBA
- Experience with state rate filings, ISO rate impact analysis
- Ability to use AI tools and PowerBI for visualization (preferred)
