- Develop, calculate or check rate adequacy levels.
- Extend, develop, analyze and maintain profitability and management information studies, rate filings, and procedures.
- Develop and maintain actuarial models.
- Provide support for large account pricing.
- Automate processes in actuarial templates.
- Have an opportunity to lead small, well-defined projects.
- Provide technical support to team members.
- Review competitor rate filings and maintain competitive intelligence.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
We are looking for candidates with...
- 4+ years of actuarial/analytical experience.
- Completion of 4 CAS/SOA exams.
- BS in Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics or relevant degree.
- Demonstrated analytical/mathematical skills.
- Basic Excel & Access skills and a desire to become an expert in these applications.
- Good organization and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and the ability to accurately complete all tasks of an assignment.
- Curiosity to identify when things don't look right and explore the causes.
- Desire to learn and willingness to try new/different approaches.
- Active communication - understands when issues should be raised and keeps management involved/updated.
