Pricing partner to underwriting

Closer to an underwriting partnership role than a pure modelling-heavy IC position because the team supports market-facing underwriting and product decisions.

Senior P&C actuarial pricing role supporting Zurich’s General Liability business from Schaumburg, Chicago, New York, Overland Park, or another US office on a hybrid basis. You’ll support rate development, rating plans, portfolio strategies, pricing tools, predictive-model monitoring, governance, and underwriting decisions. The role may be filled as Senior Actuarial Analyst or Associate Actuary.

Requirements

Must have

Bachelor's degree or Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate's degree
5 or more actuarial exams passed (FCAS track)
2 or more years of actuarial experience
3 or more actuarial exams passed
3 or more years of actuarial experience
5 or more years of actuarial experience (Associate Actuary path)
ACAS or equivalent international certification
Must not require visa sponsorship

Strongly preferred

Experience in multiple functional areas including pricing, reserving, and capital management
Proficiency in pricing studies: rate indications, trend studies, parameter analysis
Proficiency with Pricing Tools including development, deployment, and post-implementation monitoring
Familiarity with statistical and predictive modeling techniques (decision trees, clustering, GLMs)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience collaborating on cross-functional team projects
