HIGHLIGHTS

Senior health actuarial analyst supporting Value-Based Care (VBC) modeling for Medicare arrangements. You will build and maintain forecasting models, analyze revenue and claims data to inform contract valuation and negotiations, mentor junior analysts, and work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Build and maintain actuarial forecasting models for Medicare VBC arrangements
  • Extract, analyze and aggregate revenue and claims data from multiple sources
  • Prepare annual revenue and claims forecasts and support payer negotiations
  • Remote role (U.S. only) with Minneapolis/DC hires required 4 days/week in office
  • Inclusion in UnitedHealth Group Actuarial Study Program with sponsored study hours

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Collecting, analyzing and summarizing revenue and claim data
  • Actuarial modeling for Medicare value-based arrangements and CMS ACOs
  • Building actuarial models in SQL, SAS or VBA
  • Experience supporting value-based care negotiations

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance or related field
  • On actuarial exam track with 2+ actuarial exams passed
  • 2+ years of corporate experience analyzing quantitative and qualitative data
  • Expert-level MS Excel skills with formulas, charts and calculations
  • Ability to work remotely from anywhere in the U.S.
