Senior P&C actuarial analyst (remote) for a specialty E&S carrier. You’ll own reserving analyses, support capital modelling and ORSA work, and deliver data-driven insights to underwriting, claims and finance. The role reports to the VP, Actuarial and is based in Los Angeles (remote).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead quarterly and annual reserving analysis across multiple P&C lines
- Support development and maintenance of capital models and ORSA inputs
- Build and maintain models and code using Python/R, SQL and GitHub
- Remote role reporting to the VP, Actuarial (based in Los Angeles)
- Ideal for a senior analyst with 2–4 years in P&C reserving and capital work
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- loss reserving (P&C)
- capital modeling and solvency analysis
- loss analytics / portfolio performance analysis
- ORSA and reinsurance strategy support
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 2–4 years in an actuarial role focused on reserving/capital/loss analytics
- Passed actuarial exams P, FM, MAS-I and MAS-II
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required
- Proficiency in Python and/or R, plus SQL and Git/GitHub
- Strong Excel automation skills and cloud tool familiarity
