HIGHLIGHTS

Senior P&C reserving and capital role at a specialty E&S carrier. You will own reserving analyses, support capital modeling and ORSA input, and deliver data-driven insights across underwriting, claims and finance. Remote role based out of Hartford, CT, reporting to the VP, Actuarial.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Perform quarterly and annual reserving analyses for multiple P&C lines
  • Support development and maintenance of capital models and ORSA inputs
  • Build and maintain actuarial models and code in Python/R with GitHub
  • Collaborate with underwriting, claims and finance to translate results
  • Remote senior analyst role; reports to the VP, Actuarial

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • loss reserving
  • capital modeling and ORSA support
  • loss analytics and portfolio performance analysis
  • regulatory and rating agency filings support

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 2–4 years actuarial experience, preferably in P&C reserving or capital
  • Passed actuarial exams P, FM, MAS-I and MAS-II
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field required
  • Proficiency in Python and/or R, plus SQL and version control (GitHub)
  • Strong Excel skills including automation
