You will support the quarterly reserving process, develop reserving techniques and analytics, and assist with GAAP/SAP financial reporting and profitability reviews. The role partners closely with pricing, underwriting, claims, finance and presents findings to senior management.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead and support quarterly reserving analyses and reporting
- Develop new reserving techniques and loss analytics visualizations
- Support GAAP and SAP financial reporting and 10-Q/K disclosures
- Collaborate with pricing, underwriting, claims and finance
- Senior actuarial analyst level based in New York; incentive eligible
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Corporate reserving function experience
- Sound knowledge of actuarial reserving techniques and standards
- Experience with GAAP and SAP financial reporting
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Prior corporate or business unit reserving experience required
- Sound knowledge of actuarial reserving techniques and standards
- Experience with financial reporting (GAAP and SAP) involvement
- Ability to work with claims and underwriting to identify loss trends
- Programming skills (SQL, R or Python) preferred
