Senior health actuarial consulting role supporting a Private Equity Benefits practice. You will deliver reserving (IBNR), stop-loss and underwriting analyses, build client dashboards, and present financial reviews to client leadership. Senior individual contributor role (ASA) working remotely with a preference for hybrid to Atlanta.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Senior actuarial consultant on Private Equity Benefits (self-funded and insured programs)
- Perform IBNR/reserving, stop-loss and underwriting analyses for client renewals
- Deliver dashboards and periodic financial reporting; present to client leadership
- Remote role with preference for hybrid to Atlanta; travel ~5% (overnight occasionally)
- Requires ASA and 7+ years' experience in actuarial consulting or benefits analytics
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- actuarial consulting in employee benefits
- IBNR and claim reserving
- stop-loss analysis and underwriting renewals
- pharmacy rebate reconciliation and PBM/TPA vendor coordination
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, or related
- Associateship in the SOA (ASA) or comparable designation required
- 7+ years actuarial consulting or financial analysis experience in employee benefits
- Expertise with actuarial modelling/financial tools (e.g., Claros) and advanced Excel
- State Life & Health insurance license required (or obtain within 90 days)
