You will calculate and analyze reserves, support LICAT capital analysis, and maintain IFRS17 drivers of earnings and reserve movement analyses. The role reports to the US IFRS Actuary and is a hybrid position based in Toronto, Ontario.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead IFRS17 quarter-end earnings, reserve movement and drivers of earnings analysis
- Support valuation reviews, assumption controls and LICAT capital analysis
- Automate and improve valuation deliverables using Python, Power BI, SQL or Qlikview
- Hybrid role based in Toronto, Ontario (Manulife/John Hancock)
- Ideal for a senior associate actively working towards an FSA/FCIA with 3+ years' experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- 3+ years in Actuarial or Finance
- IFRS17 valuation and reserves analysis
- Capital analysis under LICAT
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience working within an Actuarial or Finance area
- Actively working towards an FSA/FCIA designation
- Strong verbal and written communication and analytical skills
