Oversee the governance and challenge within assumption development process for key assumption-setting purposes including pricing, financial reporting, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• The analyst will be an integral part of the IRM Assumptions Oversight team and support key 2021 strategic initiatives. The individual will have the opportunity to learn details surrounding all of Prudential’s lines of business and gain first-hand experience within assumptions oversight processes and its role in risk management.

• The analyst will develop a detailed understanding of the assumption-setting framework for all of Prudential’s businesses. This will be done through a project dedicated to building an assumptions database and related reporting capabilities. This will greatly advance our ability to streamline the assumptions governance process and reduce the risk within the process.

• The analyst will enhance many aspects of assumptions governance through refining existing capabilities and creating new ones. There will be an opportunity for the analyst to use his/her technical skills to achieve these results.

• The analyst may engage with Prudential’s lines of business through direct participation in the assumption governance process. The analyst will get a direct perspective of insurance risk through assumption documentation review, analysis, and challenge.

Work Experience

• 5+ years of experience desired, ASA preferred, Bachelor Degree required.

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $93,200.00 to $138,600.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
