Senior P&C actuarial manager for specialty property at a US-based specialty insurer. You will lead pricing and reserving for a property portfolio, build and deploy GLM/GAM/GBM models and production raters, and manage a small actuarial team while partnering with underwriting, finance and reinsurance.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead end-to-end pricing strategy across specialty property portfolio
- Build, validate, and deploy GLM/GAM/GBM pricing models into production raters
- Own reserving strategy including IBNR, loss ratio monitoring, and reserve reviews
- Manage and develop a team of actuaries with 2–3+ years leadership experience required
- Partner with underwriting, finance, product, and reinsurance to shape portfolio strategy
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- property pricing
- property reserving including IBNR
- GLM/GAM/GBM pricing model development
- rating tools/raters implementation and maintenance
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of P&C actuarial experience focused on property
- ACAS required; FCAS preferred or near-Fellowship
- 2–3+ years managing or mentoring actuarial staff
- Experience building GLM/GAM/GBM models and deploying raters
- Strong programming in Python or R plus SQL and Excel
