Senior, hands-on position working closely with Data Science, Underwriting, Product, and leadership.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead development of advanced property pricing models incorporating climate risk
- Integrate deterministic physics models and AI outputs with rating methodologies
- Support regulatory filings, rate reviews, and actuarial memoranda
- Advise on reinsurance structures and capital adequacy
- On-site role in Seattle (alternative SF HQ) at a fast-scaling Series B company
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- property insurance pricing
- catastrophe and climate risk experience
- E&S insurance experience
- personal property predictive modeling
- regulatory filings and rate reviews
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years actuarial experience focused on property, catastrophe, or E&S insurance
- ACAS and FCAS designation required
- Strong background in personal property pricing and predictive modeling
- Proficiency with R, Python, and SQL
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related
