Senior Life actuarial role in Nationwide Financial’s Enterprise Risk Management team, supporting capital modelling, statutory reporting, forecasting and ERM across individual annuities and other insurance products. The fully remote position is available across the lower 48 U.S. states and offers senior-leadership visibility, with a stated Columbus, Ohio location.

Requirements

Must have

  • FSA designation required
  • At least eight years of actuarial experience
  • Undergraduate degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or similar

Strongly preferred

  • Experience with AXIS or MG-ALFA
  • Deep product knowledge in a single product line (e.g. annuities) and/or breadth across multiple insurance products
  • Clear and effective communication to translate actuarial, capital, and risk concepts to diverse stakeholders
  • Self-motivated and intellectually curious, comfortable navigating ambiguity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (including VBA within Access and Excel)
  • Proficient level of organizational agility, influencing skills, strategic agility, inspiring others, business perspective and accounting
