Senior health actuarial analyst role supporting a pediatric care medical group in Texas. You'll build forecasting and IBNR models, evaluate value-based/shared-savings arrangements and business development opportunities, and analyze Medicaid claims and patient attribution. Role expects an ASA or near-ASA with strong analytical and communication skills.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Build forecasting, IBNR and cost/revenue models to support value-based arrangements
- Evaluate prospective business development opportunities with BD team
- Analyze Medicaid claims and CMS T‑MSIS data to support forecasting
- Report revenue, risk score and utilization trends to senior leadership
- Ideal for a near-ASA/ASA with 2–4 years in healthcare actuarial roles
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial experience in healthcare or managed care
- Medicaid experience
- Experience with CMS T-MSIS data
- Value-based reimbursement and shared-savings experience
- Forecasting and IBNR analysis
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Associate or working towards Associate of the SOA with 3+ completed exams
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2–4 years actuarial experience in healthcare, managed care, or consulting
