Senior health actuarial analyst role focused on value-based care and Medicaid engagements in Texas. You will build forecasting and IBNR models, measure shared-savings arrangements, and present financial and utilization insights to senior leadership and payor partners. The role partners with Healthcare Economics, Finance, and Business Development to evaluate new business and monitor performance.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Forecast cost, revenue, membership and IBNR for pediatric value-based arrangements
- Measure performance of shared-savings/value-based contracts for payor clients
- Analyze utilization, risk score and profitability by duration and acuity
- Partner with Healthcare Economics, Finance, and Business Development
- Role based in Texas; Senior-level actuarial analyst (ASA-track, 3+ exams)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Medicaid reimbursement and healthcare claims data
- Value-based/shared-savings arrangements
- Cost and revenue forecasting models
- IBNR and risk score trend analysis
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- ASA or working toward ASA with 3+ completed SOA exams
- Bachelor's degree
- 2–4 years actuarial experience in healthcare, managed care, or consulting
- Proficiency with SQL and/or SAS
