HIGHLIGHTS

Senior life actuarial role on Pacific Life's Enterprise Finance & Actuarial Projects team. You will lead enterprise-level finance and actuarial transformation, model development and reporting (regulatory and management), and mentor junior staff. Senior-level position based in Omaha, NE (onsite 4 days/week; also available in Newport Beach, CA or Charlotte, NC).

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Lead enterprise finance and actuarial transformation projects
Implement new actuarial reporting requirements and methodologies
Support model development, conversions and large-scale changes
Mentor and train junior actuarial staff
Hybrid role — on-site 4 days/week (Omaha, Newport Beach, or Charlotte)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

Actuarial experience in life/annuity products
Regulatory and management reporting including economic capital
Model development platforms and data processes
Programming in Python, R, Visual Basic and SQL
BI tools and databases (Power BI/Tableau; Snowflake/Oracle)

KEY REQUIREMENTS

6+ years of actuarial experience and FSA designation
Working knowledge of regulatory and management reporting frameworks
Experience with economic capital, risk-neutral and real-world liabilities
Programming experience in Python, R, VBA and SQL
Experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and Snowflake/Oracle
