Senior life actuarial role on Pacific Life's Enterprise Finance & Actuarial Projects team. You will lead enterprise-level finance and actuarial transformation, model development and reporting (regulatory and management), and mentor junior staff. Senior-level position based in Omaha, NE (onsite 4 days/week; also available in Newport Beach, CA or Charlotte, NC).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead enterprise finance and actuarial transformation projects
- Implement new actuarial reporting requirements and methodologies
- Support model development, conversions and large-scale changes
- Mentor and train junior actuarial staff
- Hybrid role — on-site 4 days/week (Omaha, Newport Beach, or Charlotte)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Actuarial experience in life/annuity products
- Regulatory and management reporting including economic capital
- Model development platforms and data processes
- Programming in Python, R, Visual Basic and SQL
- BI tools and databases (Power BI/Tableau; Snowflake/Oracle)
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of actuarial experience and FSA designation
- Working knowledge of regulatory and management reporting frameworks
- Experience with economic capital, risk-neutral and real-world liabilities
- Programming experience in Python, R, VBA and SQL
- Experience with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau) and Snowflake/Oracle
