Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our Rating Externalization organization as a Senior Analyst - Actuarial Rating Integration / Senior Business Analyst. This pivotal leadership role offers high visibility and is central to driving the integration of pricing algorithms, managing product updates, and ensuring effective collaboration between onshore and offshore teams. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to seamlessly navigate between business and technical teams to deliver impactful results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain rating models in WTW Radar software with minimal guidance, ensuring accuracy through thorough unit testing.
- Partner with the Radar Center of Excellence and Actuarial Teams to align on priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including the IT department and business users, to gather requirements and provide support; examples include, developing data dictionaries to assist mapping of input and output variables between rating engine and underwriting system, leading testing of request and response processes/datasets/output files, and helping construct common data structures across LOBs and Business units
- Document business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and rating attribute mappings comprehensively.
- Ensure product updates are accurately reflected in pricing algorithms and seamlessly integrated into systems, managing changes throughout the rating plan lifecycle.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in an actuarial, business analyst, or related role. 2-3 years in a leadership capacity is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, pricing algorithms, and rating systems.
- Familiarity with products and tools such as WTW Radar, Emblem, Duck Creek, Insurity, JIRA, and Confluence is a plus.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language and development tools (e.g., SQL, Python, or R)
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
- Experience working in digital-driven ecosystems or companies is a plus.
- Strong business acumen and strategic vision for driving technological innovation across platforms, data, and analytics.
- Interest in learning basic actuarial and P&C insurance concepts, with an understanding of actuarial rating modernization needs.
The pay range for the role is $100,000 to $150,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors.
