Senior P&C underwriting strategy role in New York focused on underwriting portfolio analytics and capital modelling. You will own the Underwriting Capital Model, analyze risk-adjusted returns and portfolio diversification, and build data-driven visualizations and presentations for ELT and Board. The role partners with Actuarial and underwriting to shape capital allocation and portfolio strategy.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Own and run the Underwriting Capital Model to measure risk-adjusted returns
- Perform portfolio mix, diversification and volatility analyses for P&C/A&H books
- Build visualizations, automations and data pipelines; SQL required, Python a plus
- Present analytics and recommendations to ELT and Board
- Senior individual contributor reporting to Underwriting Strategy & Analytics Lead
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- P&C and/or A&H product knowledge
- portfolio analytics and capital modeling
- risk-adjusted return analysis
- data visualization and presentation for senior leadership
- database querying / SQL
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- P&C and/or A&H product knowledge and industry experience is required
- BS/BA in quantitative field required (MBA/MS preferred)
- Database querying and SQL skills required; Python a plus
- Strong financial modelling and portfolio analytics experience
- Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
