Job Description:
RGA Enterprise Services Company (RGA) seeks a Senior Assistant Actuary to perform valuation/financial reporting and analysis for the U.S. Individual Life Division of RGA. Key duties include: perform and support the maintenance and enhancement of the financial forecasting infrastructure and analytic foundation by developing/maintaining actuarial data, assumptions, models and processes used not only for valuation, but also to support unbiased planning, reporting, economic capital refinement, embedded value calculation, capital planning, cash flow testing, and other such uses; provide general valuation, financial analysis, and project tasks; research, develop, maintain, and/or review actuarial assumptions, methods, and models in Prophet and other applications; provide internal guidance and documentation; perform detailed Statutory, Tax, and GAAP valuation work for assigned business, ensure these items are appropriately documented and posted, and assist with identifying changing requirements and adapting to maintain compliance; develop unbiased projections for financial planning and analysis and assist with communication of financial analytics and results in terms of major drivers of variance; serve as a liaison with other valuation, pricing, administration, claims, systems, accounting, audit, and finance associates; and perform valuation work and ad-hoc department projects as needed and called upon. A qualified applicant must live within reasonable commuting distance of Chesterfield, MO. RGA's compensation package includes an annual bonus plan. The compensation range noted below indicates that the base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. For this particular position, the offered salary is $149,512.00 and is non-negotiable.
Basic Qualifications:
The position requires at least a bachelor's degree, or its foreign equivalent, in Math, Finance, Actuarial Sciences, or a related field, and at least four (4) years of actuarial experience in the life insurance/reinsurance industry. A qualified applicant's experience must include the following skills: 3 years of life insurance financial reporting or analysis experience on insurance liability or asset/capital requirements; 1 year of experience with corporate capital calculation or corporate capital planning; 3 years of experience utilizing actuarial modelling software (Prophet, AXIS, or equivalent); 3 years of experience using Excel (including VBA) to automate insurance or financial workflows; 3 years of experience utilizing SQL-based database applications (Oracle, Vertica, or equivalent); and ASA designation required.

Compensation Range:
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan.
