The Senior Associate, Experience Studies Actuary role will report to the AVP, Actuarial Experience Studies. The Senior Associate, Experience Studies is responsible for the implementation, processing, maintenance and communication of Fortitude Re's Actuarial experience study systems for Life Insurance, Annuity, and A&H business lines. This role will be a key member of the Life Actuarial team, supporting the development of assumptions used in the actuarial projection models to do financial and management reporting tasks.

The position is located in the Fortitude Re Nashville, TN office on a hybrid schedule with minimal travel expected (0%-15%).

What You Will Do:

• Assist in the design, construction, maintenance and processing of actuarial experience studies.
• Build and maintain data-supported dashboards for use in the analysis of experience.
• Write experience studies documenting the methodology, data review, analysis, and conclusions.
• Process, maintain, and document actuarial data and reporting controls designed to validate the accuracy and completeness of the underlying experience study data.
• Provide expertise in the analysis of experience used in the setting of liability assumptions.
• Work with internal and external auditors in their periodic reviews of experience studies.
• Visualize and report data findings to stakeholders utilizing various visual formats.
• Foster and maintain open communication and effective relationships with actuarial colleagues.
• Handle multiple assignments concurrently and proactively seek new assignments.

What You Will Have:

• Undergraduate degree is required.
• Associate in the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent.
• 3+ years of insurance-related experience.
• Advanced computer-related skills including database handling, GitHub, Python and SQL. Additional programming languages a plus.
• Demonstrated success working in cross-functional collaborative teams.
• Highly motivated, results- and goal-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and with a high level of discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The base salary range for this role is listed below and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates may differ based on the cost of labor in that location. In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

$125,000-$145,000 USD
