Senior actuarial modeling role at a reinsurer in Nashville, TN supporting Life & Annuity in-force projections. You will maintain and enhance production AXIS models, build projection capabilities for US GAAP/Statutory and Bermuda EBS, and partner with risk, investments, and finance. Hybrid role based in Nashville, TN.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Maintain and enhance production AXIS models for in-force life and annuity blocks
- Perform projections for US GAAP, statutory and Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet
- Develop and test new modeling capabilities and automate actuarial workflows
- Use Python (or R/C++) and BI/database tools to support projections
- Hybrid role based in Nashville, TN; senior individual contributor
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- modeling, pricing, valuation, or risk management
- EBS or Solvency II experience (preferred)
- AXIS actuarial projection software
- US GAAP and Statutory projection experience
- assumption development and peer reviews
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA or ASA with 3+ years post-ASA required
- 4+ years insurance experience in modeling, pricing, valuation, or risk management
- Proficiency in Python or similar (R Studio, C++)
- Experience with AXIS or similar actuarial projection software
- Undergraduate degree required
