You will support financial reporting, model governance, assumption setting and experience studies while working fully remotely for New York Life. The role requires strong Prophet experience and advanced technical actuarial judgment.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Develop and maintain Prophet models for valuation, projections and scenarios
- Perform complex model testing, validation and documentation per governance
- Provide insights to support financial reporting and assumption setting
- Collaborate with Finance, Risk and IT and lead efficiency/automation initiatives
- Fully remote role; ASA (or near ASA) preferred with 6+ years actuarial experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Life insurance or annuities experience
- Prophet modelling experience
- Assumption setting and experience studies
- Model testing and validation
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 6+ years of actuarial experience
- Hands-on Prophet modelling experience (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics, or related
- Advanced Excel skills; VBA, SQL or Python preferred
- Experience with valuation, projections, and model governance
