Senior BI Developer Analyst role at Blue Cross NC supporting the Medical Economics Enablement team. You will design and deliver BI reports, dashboards, and analytic solutions to improve healthcare affordability and support strategic decisions. Requires 2+ SOA exams towards ASA, 4+ years of actuarial or technical experience, and strong healthcare knowledge. Hybrid flex work model with at least 2 days per week in office.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Develop BI reports, dashboards, and analytics for healthcare cost drivers
  • Partner with actuarial, business, and technical teams to define requirements
  • Use Power BI, SQL, Python, R to build and maintain BI solutions
  • Must have 2+ SOA exams and participate in Actuarial Development Program
  • Hybrid role – at least 2 days per week in Durham, NC office

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Commercial and Medicare healthcare knowledge
  • Risk modeling and normalization
  • Outlier analysis and benchmarking
  • Business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R)
  • Alteryx (preferred)

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • 4+ years actuarial or technical experience (or equivalent)
  • 2+ actuarial exams toward ASA designation (required or equivalent exp.)
  • Commercial and/or Medicare healthcare knowledge (highly preferred)
  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R)
