You will lead actuarial engagements for state health programs, including development and certification of capitation rates for CMS, and provide strategic support to state agencies and healthcare organizations. Senior, US-based role with flexible remote or office location and minimal travel (<20%).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead actuarial engagements for state-administered health insurance programs
- Develop and certify capitation rates and filings with CMS
- Provide actuarial and health policy analysis to government and nonprofit clients
- Flexible work: remote or at one of nine offices; minimal travel (<20%)
- Senior role reporting to the Principal of the Health Analytics Practice Group
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Capitation rate development and CMS filing experience
- Actuarial experience with state-administered health insurance programs
- 15+ years of actuarial experience
- Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries and US Qualification Standards attestation
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 15+ years of actuarial experience
- Attainment of ASA or FSA required
- Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries and US QS attestation
- Experience developing and certifying capitation rates with CMS (strongly preferred)
