Closer to client-facing consulting than a modelling-heavy IC role because relationship ownership, presentations, team management, and business development are central.

Senior Health consulting actuary role focused on ACA Exchange risk adjustment in the United States. You will lead client engagements, manage multidisciplinary project teams, evaluate EDGE data and risk accruals, and advise health plan leaders on financial and operational impacts. The role includes client relationship management, presentations, mentoring, and business development support.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum of 8 years of healthcare actuarial experience
  • FSA designation or ASA designation with additional experience
  • At least 2 years of project management or client management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, economics, or statistics

Strongly preferred

  • Deep understanding of ACA risk adjustment program and its impact on health plan rate filings and financial performance
  • Knowledge of full risk adjustment lifecycle including coding, submissions, analytics, provider engagement, and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with EDGE data and risk adjustment operational teams
  • Project leadership skills including managing project plans, timelines, workflows, and deliverables across multiple engagements
  • Ability to build trusted client relationships and communicate complex technical, analytical, and operational concepts to senior leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership, initiative, accountability, and sound judgment
  • Commitment to mentoring team members and contributing to a collaborative learning environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with cross-functional team success
  • Experience in ACA risk adjustment analytics within a health plan or consulting engagement
