Role type

Actuarial data and analytics crossover

Closer to a data and automation crossover than a traditional actuarial reporting role, because investigation and monitoring tooling are central rather than cyclical valuation work.

Senior P&C data quality role supporting an E&S insurance company in the United States. You’ll investigate actuarial, finance, and operational data, build reporting controls, and improve data integrity for reserving, modeling, and financial reporting. The position is fully remote and sits within the Product & Data team.

Requirements

Must have

  • 3+ years of experience analyzing insurance data, specifically supporting actuarial (reserving/modeling) or insurance finance functions
  • Former actuarial experience or active progress on actuarial exams
  • Authorized to work in US or Canada without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and Power BI
  • Root-cause data investigation skills with obsessive attention to detail
  • Self-starter mindset, comfortable with startup ambiguity

Nice to have

  • Experience connecting insurance data into ERP or financial systems (Workday)
  • Exposure to Snowflake, Python, Power Query, or AI tools
  • Direct experience working within a Managing General Agent (MGA) structure
  • Familiarity with financial planning and analysis workflows
