People leadership rather than a pricing-partner role because the defining requirement is leading the actuarial team and owning the full market actuarial function.

Senior Director-level Health actuarial leadership role, remote across the United States, supporting managed health plans including Medicare and Medicaid. You will oversee pricing, claims reserving, cost forecasting, monthly close, regulatory rate considerations, and cost-model development while leading the actuarial team.

Requirements

Must have

  • ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) designation
  • 10+ years of relevant actuarial experience
  • 5+ years of management experience
  • Experience in a comprehensive managed health care plan environment

Strongly preferred

  • Experience with claims reserving techniques
  • Experience with premium rate development
  • Familiarity with health plan risk adjustment methodologies
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and/or oversee complex cost modeling tools
  • Strong communication and negotiating skills
  • Ability to manage multiple activities with high degree of independence
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or Mathematics

Nice to have

  • FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) preferred
