Role Overview

The Senior Property & Casualty Actuary will report directly to the President/CEO and work across multiple business lines, including Auto, Home, and Commercial. The role encompasses a broad set of responsibilities such as modeling, pricing, product development, reserving, and analytics. You'll collaborate cross-functionally across departments to ensure alignment with company goals and support data-driven decision-making at the executive level.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Use RMS and AIR modeling software to develop and refine catastrophe by-peril pricing.
  • Provide actuarial analysis and guidance to support key strategic and tactical decisions.
  • Deliver forecasts for exposures, premiums, insured values, and losses to support risk management, reinsurance, and budgeting efforts.
  • Support and guide ratemaking and reserving processes.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • FCAS or ACAS designation; must be a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
  • Deep knowledge of personal and commercial insurance pricing strategies.
  • Experience in statistical modeling and data mining within a P&C context.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Ability to analyze complex issues, use critical thinking to develop solutions, and communicate results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Hands-on experience working with data tools and modeling software (RMS/AIR preferred).
