JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead pricing and reserve-setting strategies for Large Group and other health lines
- Develop and oversee premium rate filings with CMS and New York Department of Health
- Manage and develop actuarial direct reports and coordinate affiliate actuarial resources
- Perform membership, trend, and financial performance analyses with Product and Finance
- Remote role based in New York, NY
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- health insurance actuarial experience (managed care)
- developing and filing premium rates with CMS or NY Dept of Health
- pricing and reserve setting strategies
- knowledge of reimbursement methodologies
- leading actuarial staff for one or more lines of business
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and Member of the American Academy of Actuaries required
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience
- 5+ years health insurance actuarial experience (managed care preferred)
- 1+ year of people management experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or related field required
