Actuarial data engineering role on the Actuarial Architecture & Transformation team. You’ll design and implement data warehousing, reporting, reserve analytics and automation solutions using modern tools. Hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC (3 days/week in office) with opportunities to build proofs-of-concept and upskill actuarial teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Design and implement actuarial data and analytics solutions
- Centralize and standardize data for reporting and reserve analytics
- Build proofs-of-concept using Dataiku, Tableau, AWS and Spark
- Automate manual deliverables and improve governance
- Hybrid role — 3 days a week in office (Charlotte, NC)
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Data warehousing and financial reporting
- Reserve analytics and related reporting
- Modern data & analytics tools (Dataiku, Tableau, AWS, Spark)
- Coding with SQL, Hive, Python/R, SAS, VBA
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Stats, CS, Data Science or similar
- 1-3 years of relevant data/analytics or actuarial experience
- Experience with modern data tools such as Dataiku, Tableau, AWS, Spark
- Proficiency coding with SQL, Hive, Python/R, SAS or VBA
