P&C actuarial pricing role supporting North America Construction products including Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) and Construction Professional/Pollution (CPP). You will build and maintain pricing models and proprietary tools, perform deal-specific pricing and portfolio profitability analysis, and partner with underwriting, reserving and claims. Position based in Hartford, CT with a US salary range provided.

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Develop and maintain pricing models for SDI and CPP construction products
  • Lead design of proprietary actuarial tools alongside the Models team
  • Perform deal-specific pricing, program/captive pricing and reinsurance analysis
  • Partner with Underwriting, Reserving and Claims to improve pricing accuracy
  • Role located in Hartford, CT (North America Construction Pricing & Analytics)

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Property & Casualty actuarial pricing or reserving
  • Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI) and Construction Professional/Pollution (CPP) product experience
  • Pricing model governance and technical documentation
  • Deal-specific pricing and reinsurance purchasing support
  • Profitability studies and post-event loss evaluations

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified or near-qualified through the Casualty Actuarial Society
  • Material Property & Casualty pricing or reserving experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Statistics or related
  • Programming proficiency in Python, R, or SQL
  • Experience with pricing model governance and technical documentation
