Mid-level P&C risk analytics specialist focused on property and catastrophe data and risk modeling in Columbus, OH. You will collect, validate, and publish property data, support catastrophe and financial risk models, and act as a technology lead using tools like Databricks, Snowflake, Python and SQL. This individual contributor role sits on the Enterprise Catastrophe Risk Management (DMAT) team and reports to a Risk/Actuarial leader.
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Collect, validate, and publish property data for catastrophe risk management
- Support and research quantitative risk models (Monte Carlo, stochastic methods)
- Work with SQL, Python, R, Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI and Verisk Touchstone
- Individual contributor on the ECRM Data Team (DMAT) based in Columbus, OH
- Ideal for a mid-level data professional with 4+ years in P&C data and underwriting familiarity
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- P&C data collection (E&S/S, personal & commercial, farm)
- Property data for catastrophe risk management
- Familiarity with property underwriting
- Experience in financial risk modeling or actuarial functions
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years working with data using SQL, Python, and R
- 4+ years experience with Databricks, Snowflake, MS SQL Server, and AWS
- Familiarity with property underwriting and P&C data (personal & commercial, farm)
- Undergraduate degree in finance, math, statistics, or related field required
- Must be eligible to work in the US; employer-sponsored work authorization not available
