Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the guided project and development activities take priority over independent technical ownership.

Part-time Health actuarial internship in Philadelphia’s Actuarial Executive Development Program, designed for students early in their actuarial careers. You’ll explore healthcare pricing, forecasting, reserving, and data analysis through a guided project, with mentorship and preparation for a potential future summer internship.

Requirements

Must have

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or a related major at a UCAP-listed university
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship (no H-1B, CPT/OPT/STEM, etc.), now or in the future
  • Ability to work on-site at Center City Philadelphia two days per week and part-time 10-20 hours/week from Jan 19 - Apr 30, 2027
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency working with data and modern analytical tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrated leadership potential and ability to take ownership and think strategically
  • Cable broadband or fiber optic internet connection with at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload for remote work days

Strongly preferred

  • Completion of at least one actuarial exam
  • Sophomore standing or completion of at least 2 semesters of relevant coursework

Nice to have

  • Exposure to Python, R, SQL, AI-enabled tools, or other emerging technologies
