JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

  • Forecast plan performance and provide renewal support for employer health plans
  • Support underwriting for guarantees and stop-loss placements
  • Analyze health claims data and evaluate book-of-business performance
  • Automate processes using Excel/VBA and develop standard workflows
  • Hybrid role in Minnetonka, MN — minimum four days/week in office for local hires

DOMAIN EXPERTISE

  • Health plan forecasting and analysis
  • Reviewing health claims data and performance
  • Developing health care cost projections
  • Stop-loss underwriting support

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or related field
  • 2+ years of actuarial or health plan data analysis experience
  • Actuarial exam track in progress; at least one SOA exam attempted
  • Intermediate+ proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work in the U.S. and adhere to UnitedHealth Group telecommuter policy
