Specialist in an established insurer

Closer to a big-carrier specialist than a transformation build: the emphasis is sustained expertise in existing product and administration systems rather than a new-platform migration.

Senior Life actuarial systems role in the Life & Annuity Solutions team in Montpelier, Vermont. You will design, implement, validate, and support actuarial components for individual life and annuity products across policy administration, illustration, and related systems.

Requirements

Must have

  • 6 - 10 years of experience in a systems, systems support, product implementation, or related role in financial services
  • Demonstrated understanding of life and/or annuity product mechanics and calculations
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent

Strongly preferred

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, build effective relationships, manage multiple priorities
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Experience with life insurance/annuity policy administration or illustration systems
  • Experience with a wide range of life/annuity product calculations (UL, IUL, whole life, etc.)

Nice to have

  • Experience with SQL, Alteryx, or actuarial modeling software
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance or related field
