JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Lead traditional mortality experience studies and model validation for Life Solutions
- Write and run R code using an internal R package and update SQL assumption databases
- Perform impact analysis on projected financial results and abide by model governance
- Coordinate with valuation, financial reporting, and modeling teams around quarterly deadlines
- Senior-level actuarial role requiring FSA (or within one year) and 5+ years' experience
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- Traditional mortality experience studies
- Actuarial modeling and model validation
- Valuation knowledge (Solvency II, IFRS17, Stat, AG48, PBR)
- Reinsurance basics and traditional life products
- Implementing assumptions into SQL databases and impact analysis
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) or within one year of FSA attainment
- 5+ years of actuarial experience
- Proficient in R and SQL; experience with VBA, C++ a plus
- Experience leading mortality/experience studies and model validation
- Ability to work in a home office or local office; up to 10% travel
