You’ll evaluate M&A and block reinsurance transactions, build valuation and ALM models, assess capital and accounting impacts, and present recommendations to senior leadership. FSA required with multi-framework reporting knowledge (GAAP, statutory, tax, Bermuda EBS).
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
- Evaluate M&A and block reinsurance transactions for Nationwide Financial
- Build and maintain valuation, ALM and transaction financial models
- Assess capital, tax and accounting impacts under GAAP, statutory and Bermuda EBS
- Prepare executive-level deal materials and support treaty negotiations
- Role based in Columbus, OH; remote candidates with critical skills may be considered
DOMAIN EXPERTISE
- M&A transactions and corporate development
- Universal life product valuation and reporting (UL, ULSG, IUL, VUL)
- Asset modeling and ALM (AXIS or MG-ALFA)
- Financial reporting under US GAAP, Statutory, Tax and Bermuda EBS
- Reinsurance treaty evaluation and structuring
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- FSA designation required
- 6+ years actuarial experience in insurance or reinsurance
- Advanced knowledge of US GAAP, US Statutory, US Tax and Bermuda EBS
- Advanced Excel/VBA and database application skills
- Experience with AXIS or MG-ALFA asset modeling and ALM techniques preferred
