Pricing partner to business development

Closer to an underwriting-partner role than a modelling-heavy IC position because new-business and contract decisions drive the work.

Senior Health actuarial underwriting and pricing role in Seattle, with hybrid-remote flexibility and business travel as needed. You’ll evaluate new Commercial, Medicaid, and Medicare opportunities, assess contract economics, refine operating assumptions, and present insights to internal and external partners. The role requires at least three actuarial exams and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Requirements

Must have

  • Minimum three completed actuarial exams
  • Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship

Strongly preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in Actuarial services, Healthcare Economics, or related field
  • Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs
  • Experience applying or reviewing medical claim grouper logic
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in value-based care
  • Experience with CMS shared savings programs
  • Experience in Commercial, Medicaid or Medicare analysis
  • Experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and SQL
